2011 Annual Retiree Appreciation Banquet

Photos from 2011 Banquet On Friday, October 7, 2011, the City of Augusta will be hosting its 3rd Annual Retiree Appreciation Banquet at the Augusta Marriott Hotel. You are cordially invited.

This special recognition event is planned and organized by the Incentive Awards Committee (see below) to honor our 2010-2011 Retirees and express our gratitude for the many years of dedicated service rendered to the City of Augusta. All retirees approved for retirement for the period October 1, 2010 through October 1, 2011 will receive two (2) free tickets (in advance) for dinner and much more at the ceremony.

Specifically, our honored retirees will be recognized by the Mayor and Commission and will be presented with a special retirement pin, certificate of service, a very specially engraved “Retirement Clock”, a personal gift bag, and personal photos of them and their guest(s) marking the occasion.

We encourage you to circle your calendar and plan to attend this semi-formal evening ceremony with City leaders, fellow employees, and a number of very special guest speakers. Included will be a full “sit down” dinner w/dessert, jazz music, multiple prize drawings for valuable gifts and, of course, the opportunity to help us celebrate in this most special event……..our City of Augusta Retiree class of 2010-2011.

Tickets for this special recognition event are now available for $25.00 each and can be purchased (check or cash) from the Human Resources Department. Each ticket includes all costs for the evening, including participation in the many gift drawings and free parking. Deadline to purchase tickets is September 9, 2011, so please call or come by HR as soon as you can to reserve your place at the banquet.
