AUGUSTA, Ga. - The Augusta Housing and Community Development Department (HCD) will hold a public hearing to gather public input and opinion on its fiscal year 2018 Annual Action Plan on Tuesday, March 14, at 6 p.m. HCD invites members of the public to join the discussion of concerns, issues and needs in our community, as the department might have programs offering solutions for our neighborhoods. The Beazley Room on the first floor of the Municipal Building, 535 Telfair Street, will be the site for this gathering.
Staff will discuss the means for non-profits and service providers to obtain funds through programs such as HCD's HUD Community Development Block Grants, Emergency Solutions Grants, HOME Investment Partnerships and Housing Opportunities for Persons with HIV/AIDS.
Those groups interested in pursuing funding through these programs will be required to attend a mandatory application workshop on Thursday, March 16, at 2 p.m. in Meeting Room A on the first floor of the main library at 823 Telfair Street.
Groups requiring more information should contact Vicki C. Johnson at (706) 821-1797.
